2. Summary
- PocketMeasure does not require account registration.
- Measurement records, notes, settings, and language preferences are stored locally on your device.
- Camera, microphone, photos, and location permissions are used only for app features that need them.
- Purchase-related data for Pro features is processed by Apple and RevenueCat to support purchases and restore access.
- We do not sell your personal data and we do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the app.
3. Data We Handle
Data stored locally on your device
PocketMeasure stores certain data on your device so the app can work properly. This may include measurement records, notes you add to those records, export files you choose to generate, app settings, and language preferences.
Permissions and feature data
The app may request access to the camera for AR measurement and flashlight-related functionality, the microphone for sound meter functionality, photos for saving or exporting supported results, and location for compass-related functionality. This access is used to provide the requested feature. Unless you explicitly export or share a file, this data is processed on your device.
Purchase-related data
If you use Pro purchase features, Apple and our purchase service provider RevenueCat may process purchase receipts, entitlement status, transaction-related information, and an app user identifier needed to unlock features, verify purchase status, and restore purchases across reinstalls or devices where supported.
Support communications
If you contact us by email, we receive the email address you use, the content of your message, and any information you choose to provide, such as screenshots, device model, iOS version, or app version.
4. How We Use Data
- To provide measurement, alignment, flashlight, compass, sound, and history features.
- To save your settings and records on your device.
- To create export files only when you request an export or share action.
- To unlock, verify, and restore Pro purchase entitlements.
- To respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues you report.
5. Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your data.
We may rely on third parties that process limited data to provide app functionality:
- Apple, for App Store distribution and in-app purchase processing.
- RevenueCat, to support purchase status, entitlement management, and restore purchases.
- Sharing targets you choose, if you explicitly export or share a file using iOS sharing features.
We expect service providers we use for app functionality to protect data appropriately and to process it only as needed for the services they provide.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Local app records and settings remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app. In PocketMeasure, you can remove saved records and settings by using the clear data option in Settings.
If you export files, those files remain wherever you save or share them until you delete them from that location.
Purchase-related records handled by Apple or RevenueCat are retained under their own policies as needed to provide purchase functionality, legal compliance, fraud prevention, accounting, and restore support.
Support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain support history, and comply with legal obligations.
7. Your Choices
- You can deny or revoke camera, microphone, photos, and location permissions in iOS Settings.
- You can clear measurement records and app settings from the app's Settings screen.
- You can uninstall the app to remove app data stored locally on your device.
- You can contact us to ask questions about support communications you sent to us.
- You can manage purchases and subscriptions, where applicable, through your Apple account settings.
8. Children's Privacy
PocketMeasure is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the app.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date shown on this page.
